Casual loading

An Australian term. Casual loading is typically 25% on top of the applicable hourly rate because casual employees do not receive paid annual leave and other permanent entitlements.

In Canada, do not write casual loading as a local pay rule. Casual or irregular-hour work is still employment if that is the real relationship, and the rules sit in provincial employment standards or the Canada Labour Code. There is no national 25% casual loading.
