Working with Children Check

An Australian term. A Working with Children Check is a state or territory screening scheme for people in child-related work. Queensland’s version is the Blue Card. Checks are not automatically portable across Australian state borders.

In Canada, do not write WWCC or Blue Card as the local requirement. Use police record check, and a Vulnerable Sector Check where the position is one of trust or authority over children or vulnerable persons. Those checks are run by local police (or BC’s Criminal Records Review Program), not by an Australian state register.
