- Skills targeting
- Kit lists and briefings
- Job chat
- Hoursheet exports
- Free for unlimited contractors
You post jobs. Contractors claim them. Everyone has the brief.
Post the job
Add the location, date, call time, role and how many contractors you need. Attach the kit list, briefing or site map as a file. Publish to your whole pool or only to contractors with the right skills.
Contractors claim it
Qualified contractors get a push notification and claim the job first come, first served. For senior roles, use approval mode and pick from applicants — or assign someone directly and they accept or decline.
Coordinate in the job's chat
Every job has its own thread for schedule changes, site access and loading details. Contact details stay hidden from other contractors.
Close out for invoicing
Contractors submit their actual start and end times. Hoursheets calculate each person's hours and export as CSV for invoices.
What contractor teams replace with Zelos
Built for how contractor work actually runs
Your contractors, not a marketplace
Zelos manages the contractors you already work with. It doesn't supply workers, take a cut of their pay or decide anyone's employment status.
Contractors choose their work
People who work for several companies claim the jobs that fit their diary. You see who has taken what, without calling down a list.
The brief lives with the job
Call time, location, kit list and last-minute changes stay in one job, not scattered across texts and email.
Free for your whole pool
Add 20 contractors or 2,000. Paid plans unlock volume, not headcount. No per-person fees.
Who uses Zelos to offer jobs to contractors
AV and live production companies
Offer audio, lighting, video and rigging jobs to freelance technicians tagged by skill, across every client and venue you work with. Attach the kit list and stage plot to each job. Staffing a festival, conference or one-off event? See the event staffing app.
Riggers and stage crews
Post build and strike jobs with the call time, height and safety requirements, and the PPE to bring. Only contractors tagged with the right tickets see them.
Catering and hospitality crews
Offer chef, service and bar jobs to freelancers who work for several caterers. They claim the dates that fit their diary; you see who's confirmed for each job.
Consultants and specialist practitioners
Send client bookings to a vetted pool of independent specialists. The first qualified person to claim the booking takes it — the way Võõras Sõber confirms most counselling bookings the same day.
Photo, video and creative freelancers
Offer shoots and edit jobs to your freelance roster, with the brief and deliverables attached to each job.
Staffing and crewing agencies
Offer jobs from several clients to one pre-qualified pool. Enterprise gives you unlimited projects in your own branded app.
What contractor teams say
"There are a lot options out there that follow an org. structure, but very few options that allow for ad hoc team management on the go. Zelos excels at this."
Marek M.
Owner
Management Consulting
"It helped us a lot reducing the planning overhead. It is way more motivating for staff to pick their task than just getting assigned!"
Manuel W.

Events Services
"We were looking for a system to handle our concert staff. Zelos is really easy to access both for the administrator and the users!"

Frequently asked questions
Can independent contractors claim jobs first come, first served?
Yes. Post the job with how many contractors you need, and qualified people claim it until it's full. The job then closes to further claims.
Can each job include a call time, location and kit list?
Yes. The call time is the job's start time and the location is part of the job. Attach a kit list, briefing, site map or checklist as a file. Changes go in the job's own chat.
Can I assign a job to a specific contractor?
Yes. Assign someone directly and they accept or decline in the app. You can also let contractors claim first come, first served, or use approval mode and pick from applicants.
Can I offer jobs only to contractors with the right skills?
Yes. Tag contractors by skill, certification, location or any custom field, and publish each job only to the right people. Everyone else never sees it.
Is Zelos a freelancer marketplace?
No. Zelos Team Management is software for the contractors you already work with. It doesn't supply workers, list jobs publicly or take a cut of anyone's pay. Contractors join your team through an invite or a public join link, and you can approve each person.
Does Zelos pay contractors or decide their employment status?
No. Zelos has no payroll or payments, and it doesn't decide anyone's employment status — that stays with you. Contractors submit their actual start and end times, and hoursheets export as CSV for your invoicing or payroll system.
Which companies use Zelos with independent contractors?
Võõras Sõber, a counselling consultancy, sends every client booking to around 10 vetted independent consultants; the first to claim it takes the session, and most bookings are confirmed the same day. WorkBite, a staffing agency, offers hundreds of jobs a day to more than 200 pre-qualified workers who claim them from their phones. Contractors can work in any browser or the iOS and Android apps.
Is Zelos free for contractor teams?
Yes. Unlimited contractors, job posting, chat and CSV exports are free, with up to 25 active jobs at a time. Pro removes the limit for a flat monthly fee.
