1

Post campaign tasks and shifts

Create tasks for door-knocking routes, phone bank shifts, event setup, voter registration tables, leaflet drops, and sign placement. Set locations, dates, and how many volunteers you need.

2

Volunteers claim

Supporters browse available actions and sign up for what fits their schedule and location. No coordinator manually calling through a list. No reply-all email hoping someone responds.

3

Coordinate securely

Every task has its own chat channel inside your private workspace. Share scripts, talking points, location details, and last-minute changes. All messaging includes admin oversight. Nothing is publicly visible.

4

Track and report

See who's contributing, how many hours, and across which activities. Export participation data for campaign reporting, coalition updates, or volunteer recognition.

Built for campaigns that need privacy and speed

Your operation stays private

Invite-only workspace. No public profiles, no search engine visibility, no data mining. Only approved volunteers access your activities and communications.

GDPR-compliant by default

Built in the EU. Volunteer data stays within your organisation. Never shared, never sold, never exposed to external parties or opposing campaigns.

Scale overnight

A viral moment, endorsement, or news cycle can bring hundreds of new volunteers. Share one link and they onboard themselves. No training, no phone calls, no bottleneck.

Gamify sustained action

Points and leaderboards keep supporters active between rallies. Recognise your most dedicated canvassers and phone bankers. Maintain momentum across weeks and months, not just event peaks.

Who uses Zelos for campaign volunteering

Door-to-door canvassing operations
Post canvassing routes by neighbourhood. Volunteers claim routes near their home. Share scripts and talking points through task-specific chat. Track how many doors get knocked across the campaign.
Phone bank and text bank shifts
Post calling and texting shifts with time slots and scripts. Volunteers sign up for blocks they can commit to. Coordinators see real-time progress without interrupting callers.
Voter registration drives
Dispatch registration teams to high-traffic locations. Volunteers sign up for shifts at spots near them. Task chat shares daily briefings, legal reminders, and site-specific details.
Rally and event setup crews
Post logistics tasks — stage setup, sign placement, crowd management, merchandise, teardown. Volunteers claim roles matching their physical ability and availability. Coordinate event-day changes in real time.
Get-out-the-vote operations
Run election day ride coordination, poll monitoring, and voter reminder tasks. Dispatch volunteers by precinct or district. The urgency of election day meets the speed of self-signup.
Local and municipal campaigns
Run a focused campaign with 30 volunteers or a statewide effort with 3,000 — from the same platform, at the same cost. The free plan covers everything most local campaigns need.

What volunteer coordinators say

Capterra

"There are a lot options out there that follow an org. structure, but very few options that allow for ad hoc team management on the go. Zelos excels at this."

Frequently asked questions

Is Zelos secure enough for political campaigns?
Zelos workspaces are invite-only and not publicly discoverable. Volunteers cannot see each other's contact information. All messaging includes admin oversight. Data is stored in the EU under GDPR compliance. While Zelos is not an end-to-end encrypted messenger, it provides privacy controls well beyond group chats, social media, and most volunteer management tools.
Can opposing campaigns find our volunteer list?
No. Zelos workspaces are not indexed by search engines and not listed in any public directory. Volunteer profiles and contact details are visible only to admins. Members cannot see each other's personal information.
Is Zelos free for political campaigns?
Yes. Unlimited volunteers, task posting, messaging, gamification, and CSV exports on the free plan. No credit card required.
Can I target tasks by location?
Yes. Tag volunteers by neighbourhood, district, or region. Post canvassing routes only to nearby volunteers so a task in the west side doesn't notify your east side supporters.
Can I track volunteer hours for campaign records?
Yes. Zelos tracks task completion with timestamps. Export participation data as CSV for FEC compliance, coalition reporting, or internal campaign analytics.
How do volunteers join?
Share your invite link via secure messaging, email, at events, or as a QR code on campaign materials. Volunteers follow the link, create a profile, and start claiming tasks in minutes.
Can I run both in-person and digital campaign actions?
Yes. Post in-person tasks (canvassing, events, sign placement) and digital actions (phone banking, social sharing, data entry) from the same platform. Volunteers choose what suits them.
How is Zelos different from Mobilize or Action Network?
Mobilize and Action Network focus on event RSVPs, email campaigns, and donor management for large-scale political operations. Zelos focuses on task dispatch and team coordination — a simpler, privacy-first tool for grassroots and local campaigns that need volunteers claiming and completing work, not just RSVPing to events.
Can I use Zelos for a single election cycle?
Yes. Create a project, run your campaign, and close it when the cycle ends. Your data stays exportable and your account remains available for future campaigns.
